Student Teaching
Student teaching is going great! My class is absolutely awesome; they are so well behaved. Second graders are so fun! The teachers are so welcoming, and I feel right at home. I started solo teaching today and will continue through the next 2 weeks. My next placement is in the 5th grade...I'm still not sure if I think I am going to like it or not...we'll see I guess! I am truly happy with the career I have chosen and enjoy every minute of it. I must say, it is very disheartening and discouraging to hear the teachers complain about everything their job entails and tell me I am crazy for wanting to be a teacher. I try not to listen to those comments because I believe this career is perfect for me, and so far, I love it! Even though it is going to be a lot of work, I look forward to becoming a teacher more and more each day.

I'm so happy and proud of you! I am glad you have such a positive attitude. Just think if everyone listened to their advice, the world would be a terrible place. Teaching is the most important job in the world, without them there would be no other profession because even brain surgeons had to be taught. I love you and keep up the good work, you are doing great!
